“You’re comfy…” she yawned again, not even bothering to bring a hand up to her mouth this time. Now that the kids were busy with playing and Chris was awake it would be the perfect time to rest her eyes. Not to actual sleep but just rest. “…and sweet. And you always smell amazingly good.” As she spoke her voice turned softer while she moved some so her forehead would rest against the nape of his neck.

"You are just saying that" Christian smiled weakly, stifling his own yawn. He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before either, what with the pain he felt with the false sense of rejection that Reese had left with him and Brooklyn's screams. But he would be fine right now on his own, Reese seemed like she needed the rest more than he did.

Reese made a soft content sound and smiled with her eyes still closed. “You can’t deny what’s true honey. And you know that I don’t lie.” she didn’t. Well, she had never lied to Christian before. A habit she wanted to continue and would continue. Slowly her body started to relax, making her hand fall to his leg, just above his knee. Deciding that the way she was sitting now was comfortable enough, her thumb gently stroked over the fabric of his jeans.

Christian sighed quietly, reaching up with his free hand to stroke her cheek with the back of his index finger. He knew she would never lie to him, but that didn't mean that it would be easy for him to believe what people said about him. He was related to Adia Tait the most self conscious girl anyone could cross paths with, some of that insecurity had been obviously passed to him too. He decided not to argue with her, instead focusing his attention back on the two infants.
Brooklyn had sat up, her little arms stretched high above her head. Every time one of the orbs came down low she would bounce but it was always just out of her reach. "Dada!" She cried, a fresh batch of tears filling her eyes in frustration. "Ba! Mine!"

Reese could feel him sigh when his chest rose and fell again. She knew he probably wouldn’t believe her but if she had to she would keep telling him how amazing he was until he would finally start to believe it. A yawn left her lips and right when she was about to drift off into a light slumber Brooklyn cried out in frustration. Reese’s eyes fluttered open and looked over to the two infants. Nathan was still laying on his back with his thumb in his mouth while his eyes slowly started to close. Just like his mother he was in need of some rest. Smiling faintly Reese lifted up her hand again to let the orbs come down lower so Brooklyn would be able to actually hold them in her hand. They were made of pure light, something that wouldn’t hurt her and looked really pretty.

Once again Brooklyn's hazel eyes widened in awe as her fist finally enclosed around the bright orb, her mouth falling open in a silent gasp. She glanced up at her father and then back at the light in her hand, not wanting to take her eyes off the thing. Christian smiled. Reese was finally being nice and giving her what she wanted. Good, he didn't want his baby girl upset over something so trivial. She was going through enough with the absence of her mother. He caught Reese's hand and returned it back to its rightful place on his leg, just a little higher up on his thigh than what it had been before. "Have I ever told you how beautiful I think you are Miss Mack?" He asked quietly.

Reese had grown up in an orphanage and she had learned to go through life wanting things but never being able to have them. She had learned that material things weren’t important as long as you had your friends and your family. And later on love in the form of a girlfriend or boyfriend. Which meant that she was happy with a flower, a kiss from the one she loved, someone telling her she looked pretty every now and then. Things like that, simple things.
Being raised like that by the nuns it was only normal for her to find it normal you could not have everything you wanted. That reflected in the way she was raising her baby boy and probably also in the way she had not left Brooke have the duck at first. Course Reese wanted both infants to have everything they dreamed of in their life and she would always try to make that reality for them. But still they needed to learn that sometimes you couldn’t have something right away at first.
She softly squeezed his leg in a loving manner and closed her eyes again. Her cheeks colouring a faint pink when he complimented her. “You said I looked pretty once at a dance. Even though I was like eight months pregnant and looked like a balloon.” Smiling, she pressed a soft kiss to his jaw. “..but thnx.”

Christian had been brought up just the opposite way. Everything that he had always wanted had just been handed to him with no questions asked. He didn't have to work for anything out of life. Even though he knew that was wrong he still brought up his own child the same way. It broke his heart to see her go without anything. She was his Princess, his one and only.
He kept his hand on top of hers, gently sliding it up and down his leg absently. It had been awhile since someone had been this close, not that he was going to mention it. He was the Slytherin sex god, he couldn't let people know that he had been in a drought. "But you were. There's nothing prettier than a glowing pregnant woman. Except you now of course.."

Reese was the kind of girl who loved to cuddle, to be close to people. She would often hug her friends, crawl into the lap of her boyfriend/girlfriend whenever she could, etc. Sitting with Christian now made her feel loved, special and safe. Being close to people had nothing to do with sex, although she loved to have that of course. Yet Reese was already glad there was a guy out there who loved her. Sex might be a pretty big part of a relationship but being close to someone meant so much more to her. “I’m just glad I bounced back into my old figure. I thought I was never going to fit in any of my jeans again.” She had really felt uncomfortable right after giving birth.

To Christian sex was the biggest part in any relationship. It was the only part he had been fortunate enough to experience. Love was new to the young Tait. He still had trouble believing that it were real or that anyone in their right mind could feel that for him. "You'd still be beautiful even if you hadn't gotten it back.." He replied quietly. Brooklyn let go of the orb and crawled into her father's lap, rubbing at her eyes as she curled up against his chest.

“Hmm, if you say so handsome.” Feeling something brush past her hand Reese opened her eyes again, only to see Brooke demand the attention of her father by curling up in his lap. Softly Reese brushed her fingers over the head of the little girl, looking at her when she made herself comfortable. The girl really knew exactly what she wanted and how to get it didn’t she? Pulling back from Christian Reese reached out and took Nathan in her own arms. Just like his mum the little guy had decided to rest his eyes although he had actually managed to fall asleep.

Christian pressed a quick kiss to Reese's cheek, making up for the abrupt end of their cuddle session. Brooklyn Mackenzie Tait was the most important girl in his life, Reese would have to get used to being second best in his life. He lifted the little girl from his lap, letting her rest her head on his shoulder. "Maybe we should go back to your place? It's starting to get chilly and they both seem pretty wiped out.."

Reese nodded, it was time for the little ones to get to bed. Which was a good thing cause then she and Chris could have a little alone time. That would be nice cause they didn’t get it that often. “Yeah, I’ll conjure up a crib for Brooke to sleep in.” Putting the kids down in one crib would mostly like end up in a war, especially since Nate always pulled everything that was in his crib towards him in his sleep. And she doubted Brooke would like to be used as a pillow or something.
Quickly packing all Nate’s stuff Reese hung the bag over her shoulder and held Nathan in her arms a few moments later. “Ready?” looking over at Chris and his sleeping girl in his arms.

Brooklyn wasn't such a peaceful sleeper herself. Nate would most likely be used as a cushion for her entire boy, the little girl tended to roll in her sleep paying no mind to her surroundings. Christian liked that, he didn't mind waking up to his girl spread out across his chest. He nodded following Reese's example and quickly repacking his own bag one handedly, pushing himself up onto his feet. "Yeah I'm ready.."
