One would find the enterance to Gryffindor Tower on the seventh floor. Gryffindor Tower differs from Ravenclaw Tower slightly, because unlike Ravenclaw Tower, the Gryffindor Tower's entrance si through a fairly large painting of a Fat Lady. If you know the right password to tell her, after she relishes you with her singing, she swings open to reveal a round opening in the wall.

Accessed through a still life painting found near the kitchens; to reach it, you enter a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there . Although it is therefore at dungeon level, it is "as dissimilar as possible" from the Potions classroom. As we have seen in the other common rooms, it is decorated in House colours, which in this case means that there are lots of yellow hangings; like Gryffindor Tower, it has a lot of comfortable armchairs. There are little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories, all of which have perfectly round doors, like barrel tops.

Once ascending up the ladder to the classroom, the students are shocked to enter a stifiling classroom with small tabes and crystal balls. From the corner of the room, a voice calls out, "Come in! Come in!"

Inside, the bathroom's walls, floor, and single sunken bathtub are all made of white marble, lit softly by a candle-filled chandelier. The rectangular tub is the size and depth of a swimming pool, and even has a diving board, but unlike an ordinary pool the tub is lined with about a hundred taps, each with a differently coloured jewel set into the handle. Each tap automatically releases not only water, but bubble bath (a different kind of bubble bath for each colour-coded handle). A pile of fluffy white towels are kept in one corner. Only Prefects and Quidditch Captains are entitled to use this bathroom.

The Room of Requirement is a magical room which can only be discovered by someone who is in need. It is called the Come and Go Room by the house-elves of Hogwarts. The Room is located on the seventh floor, opposite a tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. To make the Room appear, a person has to walk past the section of blank wall three times concentrating hard on what is needed.

Located on the top of the West Tower, the Owlery is a circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, becaus enone of the windows have glass in them. The floor is entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the skeletons of mice and voles. Hundreds upon hundreds of owls of every breed imaginable are nestled here on perches that rise right up to the top of the tower.

Come to the lovely, peaceful Gardens of Hogwarts. Originally, they were formed by Helga Hufflepuff, but soon people forgot about them. Then, one day, because of her grand-daughters upset state over them, Minerva McGonagall fixed them up.

What a great place to come on a warm sunny day at Hogwarts! The Beautiful Black Lake is full of creatures of the Deep. The lake is kept warm over the winter season, for the kids to go swimming; this is a blessing to them.

To the east of Hogwarts castle is a large, dark forest. This forest is strictly off limits to Hogwarts students, except in the course of occasional Care of Magical Creatures lessons or detentions. The forest is thick with trees, as well as undergrowth such as knotgrass and thorns -- but there are paths, brooks, and some clearings. STRICTLY OFF LIMITS TO HOGWARTS STUDENTS

The entrance to St. Mungo's is concealed behind an abandoned red-brick London department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. on a Muggle street. Unlike, say, the Leaky Cauldron, St. Mungo's is visible to passing Muggles, who merely believe the sign on the front that the store is "Closed for Refurbishment." In the front window, a dummy dressed in outdated styles serves as the gatekeeper; wizards wanting to enter do so by talking to the dummy, and then walking straight through the window

The Hogwarts Express, the only train whiich takes students to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, departs at 11am on September 1, the day before Hogwarts students begin their school year. Students board this train from Platform Nine and Three Quarters, in Kings Cross Staton. Walk through the platforms of Nine and Ten to get onto Nine and Three Quarters!
